I try to monitor what I watch and listen to around the kid
because that is just responsible parenting.

This is no easy task,
since sex and violence are rampant nowadays.
It’s everywhere you go.

Commercials on TV are trying to push the envelope a lot.
Shows and cartoons generate a lot of violence and revenge.
I can’t even watch the news without any broadcast of murder.
Even when I drive the kid to school,
I am on guard on what the radio plays.

But I try my very best, mind you.
I am like a hawk with this stuff.
I am also pretty quick with the remote
when channels need to be switched
once the need arises.

But sometimes one or two may slide through my hawk-like
monitoring system.

Just like the other day, I was driving the kid to school.

“Dad, can you turn the music on?” The kid said.

I replied. “Sure. What do you want to listen to?”

“Do you have, I like big butts and I cannot lie?”
