I have been listening to a lot of Classic Rock these past few weeks.
I don’t know why.
I guess I am just re-introducing myself to how guitar music was
in the old days.
The good days.
I have always said that I would give anything to have been in that era.
In the music scene of the late 60’s and 70’s.
How I would love to have witnessed the first Woodstock.
The “real” Woodstock.
Where love, peace and understanding
dominated everyone’s feelings.
Well, that and drugs.
But I wouldn’t do the drugs.
I never have and never will.
I am not that stupid.
I don’t need drugs to make me feel high.
I get the same effect just by playing music.
Or eating wasabi.

Well, I cetainly grew up in the 60’s and 70’s (even if by the 1970’s I was already married and “grown up”. Yes, music then was the good old days. Just think of how many muscians from that time period are still performing or playing relevant music. In thirty years from now, how many of today’s muscians will be in that situation? There are so many from the 80’s and 90’s that have already disappeared. I hope it won’t be like Don McLean’s song:
“bye-bye, miss american pie. Drove my chevy to the levee,

I truly believe that the artists in that era were way ahead of their time,
that is why their music still lives on, up to this day.
Especially The Beatles.
They have made a song in every possible genre, that is why they are still what they were today.
