My old man left this world 4 years ago today.
Sometimes I still wonder what he would tell me
whenever I’m feeling down and losing hope.
My old man left this world 4 years ago today.
Sometimes I still wonder what he would tell me
whenever I’m feeling down and losing hope.
Here’s an old Jam Session I did with two old friends
back in 2001. Ryan F. and Mike W.
Mike did the vocals and guitars and Ryan on Bass.
You can check out my guitar riffs too.
I had a great time when we did this
so I want to share them again with you.
Here’s our jam cover of “Black Magic Woman” by Santana.
“If God can forgive those who have wronged him,
then we should too.”
This is one thing I have been taught
ever since I was young.
God forgives everything.
So we should too.
If God, who is the Almighty,
All knowing and the creator of all things,
able to forgive and accept the sinners
then Us mortals, humans, flawed beings
should be able to follow his example.
I have no problem with that.
That is the perfect path for harmony in this world.
But,
am I the only one who has seen this in a different view?
Am I the only one who saw the other side of this teaching?
God can forgive everything because that is what He is!
He is God!
I am not a God!
I am just a mortal, human being.
I can not do what He can.
An all powerful, Loving kind of God
can forgive and forget.
An ordinary man, like me, who is flawed,
tends not to forgive.
Well, at least not right away.
We tend to take revenge.
It’s our nature.
Is it just me?
Yeah. It’s just me.
I hate my Friday medications.
I am sure you have heard that quote,
“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
It is such a lovely cliche invented by optimists.
I have no problem with that.
People make use of what can help them cope up.
Cope up with life.
Life is both funny and cruel.
Life gives us “lemons.”
A metaphor for “whatever we are dealt.”
Something we have no control over.
It’s the given part of life.
You can not make lemons.
Everything else, is up to you.
The “Lemonade” part is what you can do.
But here lies the dilemma.
I can make lemonade.
I have no problem with that.
I can do that on my own.
The problem is,
Life did not give me any “sugar.”
I cannot make sugar.
This lemonade turned out very, very sour.
Who drinks Sour Lemonade?
Thanks a lot, Life!
Thanks a lot.
