#valenTy 2022

Monday, February 14th, 2022

After another year, this kid would like to thank those who sent their birthday wishes today.
It really meant a lot and was greatly appreciated.

I think this picture accurately represents all the years he has gone through.

It’s not about that he kept falling down and kept crying like a baby,
but it’s the friends and family who helped him get up, stood by his side,
never gave up on him and told him not to quit.

Thank you again so very much. Hoping you all had a great day of Love.

The Race that Amazes!

Did you guys ever watch “The Amazing Race?”

I’m crazy about this show. I can’t believe I never got into it before.
We’ve watched like 9 seasons in 3 weeks. I love watching travel shows like this.
Places I’ve never been to or will never have the chance to see.

I also love it when my friends post their travel pictures on their Social Media pages.
I like seeing people I care about having a good time.

So let me show you the place I visited most this past year.

Remembering Mom – 2022

Friday, January 7th, 2022

Today was as tough as when she passed on.
It really doesn’t get any easier but life goes on.

And here we are.

I miss her very dearly.

Remembering Dad – 2021

Sunday, October 31st, 2021

Before the day ends let me just share this one story about my Father when he was still with us.
He was very adamant that he never falls asleep when he’s in a vehicle and someone else was driving.

He said, and I quote, “I just never trust anyone else’s way of driving.”
This is actually true. I’ve never seen him asleep while traveling.

Now, back in the Philippines, he and I traveled to Tarlac from Quezon City many times.
That’s about a 2 hour drive back then. Of course, I was the one who drove for the most of it.

One time as we were on our way, he got quiet all of a sudden.
So I glanced at him and what do you know …. Mr. Martell was asleep!
Bobbing his head, eyes all shut.

He never told me he fell asleep, but I was very proud of myself that day.
My old man trusted me.

It’s been 13 years since he left us.

And I still miss him dearly.

Happy Birthday to my Femme

Saturday, June 12th, 2021

I am lucky enough to see her beautiful smile every single day
and even more fortunate to have her as my wife.

Happy Birthday, mon amour.

Thank you for saying “Yes” to me.
Thank you for all your delicious cooking.
Thank you for helping me survive a global pandemic.
And thank you for staying by my side throughout our journey.

Je t’aime beaucoup.
