I didn’t get to wish and greet you all a very happy new year so.
A Very Happy New Year to you all!

Why don’t we start this 2011 with a song?
This one is one of my favorite songs by the “Brothers Gibb.”

It is called I.O.I.O.

I remember the first time I heard this; I wanted to learn and play it.
It’s one of the catchiest tunes I have ever known.
I always thought it was a feel-good, happy song,
But the more I listen to it; I figured it is actually a song about heartbreak.
And for the singer to forget his pain and sadness,
he sings I.O.I.O.

Man, this song used to cheer me up.
Now every time I listen to my version, it just depresses me more.

That’s just great.
Start the New Year with sadness, Ty.

No matter.
We have to make the most of this year.
We need to stay positive.
And always be good.

The world is ending in 2012.
We’re going to meet The Maker soon.
Time to cram for the final exams.

I.O. I.I.I.I.I.I.O. I.O. I.O. I.I.I.I.I.I.O. I.O.

You know I love getting up in the morning
When the sun first strikes the trees
All the morning birds that sing above
Still bring back memories
Of a girl who stood beside me
When the rights I did were wrong
But she went back down the river
Just when I thought I could be strong
When I thought I could be strong, so I sing

I.O. I.I.I.I.I.I.O. I.O. I.O. I.I.I.I.I.I.O. I.O.

She never told me why she left me
But the letter said goodbye
Now my mornings are for wond’ring
And my nights to reason why
Why a stranger comes to steal the love
Of a girl I had to hold
But she went back down the river
Just when I thought I could be strong
When I thought I could be strong, so I sing

I.O. I.I.I.I.I.I.O. I.O. I.O. I.I.I.I.I.I.O. I.O.
