Thank you.

If I may be serious for a moment.

A couple of months ago,
we had some troubling news within our family.

It has been challenging, to say the least.
Not just for me, but for every member of our clan.

Without going into details,
I would like to say that things are looking up.
And we have been given more hope.

I would like to take this opportunity
to thank everyone who have given their sincerest support,
thoughts and prayers.

Even to those whom I have only known by name
and not really acquainted with, offered a helping hand.

It is still a long journey ahead,
but at least hope is in sight.

Thank you.

Throwback Video Thursday

Let’s try to hold the ridiculous throwback photos for today.

Here’s an old Video Snippet from a late night gathering at a friend’s place.
I was playing Through the Barricades by Spandau Ballet.
One of my ultimate favorites to play on guitar.

I apologize for the grainy video.
This was probably around 1993-1994.

Yes.
I am old.
Shut up.

Walk Away

Nothing is working for me today.
I hate it when the only thing that helps me get through anything
just won’t come out.

I can play.
But it’s not me playing.

I have to walk away.

New Song Added

Music by – Joe Jackson
Voice and all instruments by – Ty Martell

Oh My Goodness!
There’s actually music on this site?

I know I haven’t done it in a while, but..
Yeah! That’s how this site actually started.

I post songs that I liked in my lifetime.
They’re mostly old songs because… well..
I am old.

I admit these songs I cover aren’t really that great
and they’re mediocre at best.
but that is also not my point.

I must have a way for me to express
all these emotions in one form or another.

I chose Music.

Anyway,
I heard this one when I was listening to an online radio stream.
A popular Radio channel in the Philippines.

I wanted to play this on the piano,
but my fingers wouldn’t work with me at all.
So, I did it all on Guitar.

That’s how I started with music to be honest.
I wanted to play the piano first when I was young,
but I found myself struggling with it
and ended up forcing the music to come out.
So I tried the Guitar and everything made sense.

So maybe we can say that
The Guitar is my number two.
It hasn’t given up on me.
Yet.

Lyrics start here:

Happy Birthday, Big Brother.

Too many birthdays this month huh?
Anyway, Happy Birthday to my brother.

He won’t see these posts, but that isn’t really the point.
Just wishing him all the best.

Music Throwback

I spent a good hour yesterday,
looking for an old picture for Throwback Thursday.

It’s not easy finding one where I have pants on,
but no matter.

We’ll just look back at this Youtube Video
I recorded some time ago.

I’ll Always Love You, by M. Johnson.

I’m not sure if the “M.” Stands for Michael, Maurice, Mario or Magic.
We’ll just call him Mister Johnson, to be safe.

Here’s my attempt on his song.

Thanks for watching.

Check out all the other videos on my Youtube page.

You would think…

You would think,
for someone who loves and is very passionate about music,
God would surround me with people who have the same thing.
Or at least bring me close enough to make it happen.

Nope.
