As of 11 am today (I think),
The whole State of Florida is in a State of Emergency.

Hurricane Bonnie and Charley is expected to hit within the next 2 days.
There are warnings everywhere,
and tips on how to survive if worse comes to worst.

Alright! Our first Florida hurricane.
How bad could this be?

I grew up in the Philippines,
where dealing with storms is a way of life.
And Tracy grew up in the South,
where tornadoes flattens towns once a month.

I am sure, we can handle this.

Yeah, that’s how I felt earlier today.
But they show the warning messages on TV, every five minutes,
and consistently show footages of previous damaging storms.
Not to mention, evacuation commenced in the Florida keys,
made us think twice about this.

Where are we gonna go?
What are we gonna do?
Do we have enough supplies?
Do the cars have enough gas?
How am I gonna watch the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics?

See, my worries are a lot different now.
Now that I have a family of my own.

Because when I was a kid in the Philippines,
and there’s a signal no. 3 Storm,
all I was worried about was,

“I hope I still get to play my Atari 2600.”
