Quote of the day

“Love can only be repaid with Love.”

Do not have the nerve to ask for it,
if you do not have any to give.

Yeah that one is from me.

Okay, maybe I got the idea from the Beatles.
And maybe from 3 million other songs out there.
But that’s not important right now.

Thank you!

Wow!

The last post got the most Facebook “Likes” I ever had.
I totally appreciate it.

Thank you for taking the time to listen.
I know these are not my songs and the covers I do
are mediocre at best.
But I still thank you.

On a side note,
I have added both my Twitter Feed and
Twitpic Feed as widgets on the side bar.

I’ll leave them there for now, and see if it grows on me.
Maybe it’ll be useful someday.

Again,
Thank you so much for checking this site out.

Yours in music,
Ty

New Song Added – Friend of Mine

I was having an OPM (Original Pilipino Music) kick
a couple of weeks ago,
and I remembered this song from my archives.

It’s an old song from the Philippines
sung by Odette Quesada.

My good friend, Anne
actually asked me if I know this one.

I said “Yeah, it’s one of my favorites too.”

Then she said, “Can you play it?”

“Not only am I going to play it.” I answered.
“I am also going to ruin it!”

And now, I am going to share it with you.

So here’s

MLK Today

Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate;
only love can do that.

-A moment of Silence for the Tragedy in Tucson, Arizona

Eternal rest, Grant unto them O’ Lord,
And let your Perpetual Light shine upon them.

Most of you know,
That I live in the Southern part of The United States,
and I can assure you, people here are very hospitable.
With their great Sense of Humor and
their laid back sense of lifestyle.

There are only three things they take very seriously down here.
Their three “F”s.

1. Football,
2. Fishing,
3. And Firearms

Happy New Year & New Song Added

I didn’t get to wish and greet you all a very happy new year so.
A Very Happy New Year to you all!

Why don’t we start this 2011 with a song?
This one is one of my favorite songs by the “Brothers Gibb.”

It is called I.O.I.O.

I remember the first time I heard this; I wanted to learn and play it.
It’s one of the catchiest tunes I have ever known.
I always thought it was a feel-good, happy song,
But the more I listen to it; I figured it is actually a song about heartbreak.
And for the singer to forget his pain and sadness,
he sings I.O.I.O.

Man, this song used to cheer me up.
Now every time I listen to my version, it just depresses me more.

That’s just great.
Start the New Year with sadness, Ty.

No matter.
We have to make the most of this year.
We need to stay positive.
And always be good.

The world is ending in 2012.
We’re going to meet The Maker soon.
Time to cram for the final exams.

Here is I.O.I.O.

Another Year Over

A new one will begin tomorrow.
It’s time for a do over.
2010 sure has its ups and downs.

You just have to cherish the ups,
and you just have to learn from the downs.

And every time you pick yourself up,
you move on.

That’s one of the things I have learned this year.

No matter how empty and helpless you may be,
No matter how much disappointed and frustrated you are,
you move on.

Thank you all so much
for regularly checking my site out from time to time.
I wish you all the best this New Year!
