Is it possible for someone to fall in love with a song
the first time they hear it?

I know I have asked that before,
but this one here, I have fallen in love with quite easily.
So much that it’s actually changing my life.

Well, not actually “changing” it,
but it is changing the way I view things.

I have learned that as much as you waste your time questioning everything,
you can’t keep yourself wallowing in hate.
No matter if your faith and beliefs gets shattered,
you need to pick yourself up,
and move on.
Heal thyself.

It’s a song by one of my Guitar Idols, Mr. Richie Sambora.
I have always been a fan of his style, since his Bon Jovi days,
and also loved his solo albums.
He definitely is a big influence in the way I play music.

This is my rendition of his song, Seven Years Gone.
Please do not mind the mistakes on this one.
I just enjoy covering songs that I love.

All effects are from Garageband,
and all instruments are played by me.
Except for the drums. I just arranged that one.

Thanks again for listening.

“You can’t find the road to healing,
when you’re blinded by your pride.” – Richie Sambora

Seven Years Gone

Music by – Richie Sambora

Lyrics start here:

Seven Years Gone
Another change of season
Slipping through my life
I can’t recall believing
That I’d make it here alive

Steady wind is blowing
The clouds don’t look the same
You can’t deny the thunder
When you’re livin’ through the rain

Like the moth dances with the light
Sometimes a shadow burns too bright
Shattered silence in the night
You wake up, move on
You’re 7 years gone
7 years gone

Hung up cold and reeling
Wounded deep inside
Can’t find a road to healing
When you’re blinded by your pride

The hour glass is broken
Sand is slipping through your hands
While you’re chasing what’s been stolen
Change is making, making other plans

Like the moth dances with the light
Sometimes a shadow burns too bright
Shattered silence in the night
You wake up, move on

Time’s a train travelling way too fast
Tearing moments from the past
While today’s singing yesterday’s songs
You grow up, move on
The 7 years gone

Time, time,
Time, time ticking,
Time, time ticking away
That’s life
It’s all about living
Taking it day by day
Blind, blind, leave it behind
Singing a different song
One day, you’re waking up
You’re seven years
Seven years gone

Like the moth dances with the light
Sometimes a shadow burns too bright
Shattered silence in the night
You wake up, move on

Time’s a train travelling way too fast
Tearing moments from the past
While today’s singing yesterday’s songs
Growing up, holding on
You’re 7 years gone

7 years gone
7 years gone
7 years gone
