Happy New Year!

I just realized, the kid sang the harmony
right by the 9th second mark.

The kid is getting better than I thought.

During this time of season,
my High School batch get together to host this event
for the less fortunate youth in the Philippines.

We all get in touch with each other, and we share and contribute
our time and efforts, money or in kind,
to allow the kids to enjoy the holidays.
Even for just a day.

Something that they will remember
that they are not alone.
Something they will remember
that all isn’t too bad.

And us as their big brother.
Their mentors. Their guide.
They carry on, hoping that we have influenced their lives,
their decisions and their ways.

I am proud to be one of these fine gentlemen,
who give their time and care
for the youth of tomorrow.

I had to.

I have to see if my guitars still know who their boss is.
Even though it turns out that it’s not me.
But no matter.

I have conjured enough time, effort and courage
to make this one.

It’s one of my favourite U2 songs.

This Live Movie maker is driving me nuts.
I am forced to edit in both XP and Win7.

I have been wondering how I could do multiple video parts
of the same song merged into one.

Just so I can add more depth to a song.
It’s getting to be really boring.

I added the harmony to this one and it turned out quite alright.
It was a little tricky with the sync, but it worked.

I am not a professional Video editor,
so you’re gonna have to bear with me.

Just like how you stood by me
with all the crazy covers I’ve done.

Just pretend they are actually good.
And I am a real musician.
Come on.
We can do this together.

Plus I replaced all my guitars’ strings
and they all sound very crisp.
The ones I got are made in California,
maybe that’s why they sound better.
They’re prettier and they taste better too.

Here’s an old favourite that I used to sing
back when I was still learning guitar.

My version is definitely not the greatest, but it is mine nevertheless.
And that’s Okay.

It’s probably one of the saddest songs I have ever known.
And I play songs that reflects what mood I am in.

That is what I think is the beauty of playing an instrument.
It becomes an extension of you to express what you feel.
I like music so much, that I just don’t want to hear it.
I want to play it too. I want it to come out of me.

Horrible as it may be,
it still comes out.
Raw.
With feelings.
